Planning in 4 Easy Phases
Phase 1: Preparation
Build stakeholder support, form a planning team with defined roles, and create a project and communication plan.
Phase 2: Data Gathering & Engagement
Identify existing data and gaps, analyze what you have, gather feedback from the community and staff, and look for common themes in the data.
Phase 3: Plan Content
Conduct a TOWS Assessment, define your mission, vision, and values, set priority areas and measurable objectives, and finalize the plan.
Phase 4: Implementation
Develop an Action Plan for each priority area, involve staff in creating initiatives, and communicate and track progress on the objectives.
This video introduces the WHY behind making the switch from traditional strategic planning approaches to community-focused planning.
